Gamblers love
In Idle turn
Idle turn those tricky aces,
Lost by fractions
Spinning coins those slots those faces
I’m still losing, losing count all of this
The counting beads streets of bliss.
The boxing glove the training shoe
I guess I’m fighting losing you
You made me hard so wet with beer
I doused the flames whilst cursing fear
We lived our lives those earthly sins
Like plastic bags and rusting tins
For all the truth the spoken words
For all the words broken swords
I’m raging now at empty sea
Down on my knees this precipice
I’ll sing no more nor shake my fist
The eagle landed took a piece of my ear
That don’t matter, see I don’t care
For long time past I laughed at fear
In the mists you hit you run
Like good spare ribs and china tea
I cannot hate for you nor me
Loving ways in tender days
Where this love found on stony ground
Floundering with aching heart
I cursed the end more than the start
We shared our souls this crazy world
Questions asked
Should flowers grow?
The seeds I scattered would never sow
Till this soil till end of time
I’ll lose my mind in blood red wine
Storing secrets which way to bend
Where now my love could this world send
In idle turn those tricky aces
Lost by fractions, spinning coins
Those slots those faces
I’ll spin a coin for all at sea
A game of chance,
Best out of three
In idle turn
